"Anaivarukkum IIT Madras" (IIT Madras for All) Initiative:
The program was highlighted during a higher education guidance event organized by the Tirupattur district administration and the School Education Department. The event, presided over by the District Collector, featured Mr. Harikrishnan, Head of the 'Anaivarukkum IIT Madras' project and Head of IIT Madras Social Initiatives, as a special guest who provided clear guidance to students.
Key Features:
- No JEE Required: Admission to the BS degree program under this scheme does not require clearing the JEE entrance exam.
- Eligibility: Students who have completed 11th grade onwards can apply. It's also open to students currently enrolled in other colleges and working professionals. There is no age limit.
- Admission Process:
- Registered students must complete a 4-week online course offered by IIT Madras.
- Successfully completing the course involves passing a qualifying exam conducted by IIT Madras.
- Successful candidates can then enroll in the BS degree program in either Data Science or Electronic Systems.
- Degrees Offered: BS in Data Science and BS in Electronic Systems.
How to Apply:
Students who have currently completed 11th or 12th grade are encouraged to join the 4-week online training. Passing the qualifier exam after the training provides direct admission into the IIT Madras BS program.
