Amsterdam, Netherlands – The vibrant spirit of Jagannath Rath Yatra echoed through the streets of Amsterdam as hundreds of devotees and culture enthusiasts joined in the annual chariot festival, celebrating Indian heritage and spirituality abroad.

Organized by the ISKCON Netherlands chapter, the Rath Yatra saw a beautifully decorated chariot carrying idols of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra, pulled through the city by devotees singing bhajans, dancing, and sharing prasadam.

A Celebration of Unity and Devotion

The procession began near Dam Square and wound through central Amsterdam, drawing curious locals and tourists alike. Volunteers offered free vegetarian food, explained the significance of the festival, and handed out books on Indian philosophy.

“It’s heartwarming to see how Amsterdam embraces our tradition with joy and respect,” said a temple spokesperson.
