PM Modi Declines Trump’s G7 Dinner Invite to Prioritize Odisha Visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently revealed that he "politely declined" a dinner invitation from former US President Donald Trump during the G7 Summit in Canada.

Instead of attending the high-profile event, Modi prioritized his visit to Odisha, stating it was important to return to the "land of Mahaprabhu" (Lord Jagannath).

He made this statement during a public event in Bhubaneswar, which marked the first anniversary of the BJP government in Odisha. During the event, Modi also inaugurated several development projects across the state.

His decision to choose a domestic commitment over an international engagement was portrayed as a sign of his devotion to the people of India and the spiritual significance he attributes to the region.
