Tesla to Launch First India Showroom in Mumbai by July 2025

Tesla is set to officially enter the Indian market with the launch of its first showroom in Mumbai by mid-July 2025, followed by another showroom in New Delhi.

• The initial Tesla offering will be the China-made Model Y SUVs, which have already arrived in India.
• These vehicles are imported as Completely Built Units (CBUs) from Tesla’s Shanghai Gigafactory.
• Due to India’s steep import duties (up to 70% on cars under $40,000), the final price of Model Y is expected to be significantly higher than in other markets.
